Ranieri close to signing new deal

Claudio Ranieri is close to agreeing a new £3 million-a-year deal with Leicester City. The three-year extension should be signed in June.
Ranieri will be rewarded for his remarkable season with a significantly improved deal and official confirmation is expected next month.
Negotiations between Ranieri and the Leicester board are said to be “progressing well” and it is thought a three-year extension will be on the table.
He signed a deal worth around £1.5 million a year when he was appointed in July but Leicester have moved quickly to offer him a new contract that will double his money.
Ranieri is attending this weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix, after returning from the club’s post-season tour of Thailand, and talks are set to conclude in the next few weeks.
